Programme Specialization

Programme specialization of QITEP in Mathematics is designed to meet the needs of mathematics teachers and education personnel in facing Decade of the Education for Sustainable Development (2005-2014) which has been declared by UNESCO. The programme is divided into two categories as follows.

  1. Trainings
    1. Teacher-made Teaching Aids
    2. Joyful Mathematics Learning
    3. Heterogeneous Mathematics Class Instruction
    4. Utilization and Development IT-based Mathematics Learning
    5. Clinical Supervision
    6. Lesson Study in Mathematics Education
    7. Southeast Asia Mathematics Realistic Education (SEA RME)

  2. Other areas and activities as follows:
    1. Research and Development
    2. Learning materials and Curriculum Development
    3. Seminar, Workshop, Symposium, and Conference.

QITEP in Mathematics is one of the SEAMEO (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization) Regional Centres. The main function of QITEP in Mathematics is developing capacity building for mathematics teachers and education personnel (supervisor, headmasters, and administration staff) in SEAMEO Member Countries and conducting research on mathematics education. read more
